Self-Published Author: Dominate the Real Estate Market
I independently researched, wrote, designed, and published a complete marketing guide for real estate professionals, managing every phase from concept through multi-format publishing across PDF, ePub, and Kindle. The same person who architects GA4 data pipelines also ships books.
The Problem
Taking my real estate market experience from work for Realty Austin and NewPoint Media - I identified an opportunity to create a practical marketing guide for real estate professionals, a market where most available resources were either too generic or too salesy. The challenge was managing every phase independently: market research, content development, visual design, and publishing across multiple digital formats with different technical requirements.
The Hypothesis
If I could produce a professional-quality guide that offered genuinely practical advice, not just theory, and make it available across every major digital reading format, I could demonstrate full-stack content capability while creating a real product.
The MEthod
I treated the project like a product launch. I researched the real estate marketing landscape to identify gaps in existing resources, then structured content for immediate practitioner value. I wrote the full manuscript, designed the layout and cover, created original graphics, and managed technical production for each format; PDF (for direct distribution), ePub (for Apple Books and general e-readers), and Kindle (for Amazon's ecosystem).
Each format has its own technical requirements for layout, metadata, and validation. Managing all three required understanding both the content and the delivery infrastructure.
The Outcome
The book was published across all three formats. It demonstrated something I believe is valuable and rare: the ability to conceive, produce, and ship a complete product independently. From first outline to published book; research, writing, design, production, and distribution, every step was mine.
